Casual Car Documentation - The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.
We have an exciting position for suitably experienced repairs and maintenance professional with experiencing of contractor management/coordination within the housing sector.
The post holder will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in MCC and with external contractors to ensure that MCC deliver an effective repairs service to residents.
This role will be the core support for Managers, Service Improvement Lead, Surveyors and other key stakeholders to ensure effective contract management by coordinating high priority tasks to ensure robust communication to residents.
This role will require effective gap analysis to ensure and implement continuous improvements to the repairs service.
This role will also support Managers and the Head of Service with complaint investigations and drive improvements and delivery of lessons learnt.

You will have demonstrable experience with contractor management/coordination within the housing sector with experience and knowledge of working in a public sector organisation and leading change, in the best interests of residents.
You will have an understanding and knowledge of all aspects of the services within repairs and maintenance and how this sits with and complements the wider Housing Services and MCC strategy with knowledge of housing law/regulation, HHSRS and health and safety legislation.
You will also have significant knowledge across the Microsoft office package in order to support the work – inc word, excel and powerpoint with excellent written and verbal communication skills require to engage staff at a variety of levels.
