Legal Assistant within Residential Conveyancing Apprentice
AMT Lawyers have a brilliant business admin apprenticeship opportunity at their head office in Blackburn. AMT are a highly regarded full-service law firm, offering services nationwide. Hours: Monday to Friday. Shifts to be confirmed.
Duration: 1 year 6 months
Weekly Hours: 40 hours a week
Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
A non-exhaustive list of the tasks which will be included within this role:
1. A good understanding of Residential Conveyancing and the legal process.
2. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
3. Drafting skills i.e., emails, letters, etc.
4. The ability to work under pressure.
5. The ability to act on instructions from a Solicitor and/or supervisor.
6. Customer/client relations.
Where you’ll work
Training
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Business Administrator (Level 3) - Equal to A Level
Course Contents
* Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation.
* Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports, and proposals.
* Exercises proactivity and good judgement.
* Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
* Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing, or on digital platforms.
* Completes tasks to a high standard.
* Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and time.
* Uses relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report.
Your Training Plan
* Level 3 Business Administrator.
* Training will take place one day a week at Burnley College.
Requirements
GCSE in:
* Maths (grade 4)
Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.
Skills
* Customer care skills.
Other Requirements
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills via telephone and in person. Furthermore, it will be important for the candidate to be organised and have the ability to multi-task. We seek to employ an Apprentice who is committed, dedicated, and consistent in all tasks set. Punctuality and attendance are also extremely important for this role considering the level of responsibility which will be given to the chosen person.
