We are looking to employ a new kitchen porter to join our existing team at Winchester hospital. The role will involve 4 main aspects: Delivering meal trolleys to wards, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, supporting catering assistants with production of patient meals and supporting staff in the restaurant as required.
More specifically the role will require the following:
To assist with the efficient operation of catering services provided to patients, staff and visitors to the Catering Services Department at Hampshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
To support the Kitchen Manager and kitchen staff in the provision of all catering services.
General duties in the kitchen, plated meals area, restaurant and pot wash areas.
To maintain all kitchen areas to the standard of cleanliness required which meets all food hygiene regulations.
The role will entail working a 35 hours week, on various 7 hour shifts (with a 30 minute or 1 hour break) including up to 3 weekends in 4. Shift times vary, the earliest starting 06.30, the latest ending at 20.00.
