Booking Coordinator for Ophthalmology Injection Service

An opportunity has arisen for a friendly, organised and dynamic person to join our established Booking Co-Ordinator team with the Ophthalmology AMD Department. The role of the Booking Co-Ordinator is to provide a high quality administrative service, ensuring that the patient booking pathway is uncomplicated, efficient and helpful, reflecting the Trust's values and meeting the Trust's performance objectives for outpatients.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be required to have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work, accurate documentation presentation and attention to detail, able to work as part of a team, punctual and reliable, awareness and understanding of the importance of confidentiality, polite, adaptable, with a willingness to learn. Applicants should be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a minimum 12 months experience in an NHS environment in a Receptionist/Outpatient Assistant/Coordinator role.

Job responsibilities
The post-holder will be required to provide a highly efficient administrative service to the Ophthalmology Department, booking injection appointments for patients. Flexible working may be required in order to meet the needs of the service.

Qualification
* Minimum of 4 GCSE or equivalent including English
* NVQ Level 2 in customer care
Experience
* Experience in a reception/ coordinator role within the NHS.
* Knowledge of ERS

* Able to work under pressure
* Able to understand and analyse waiting list data accurately and identify problems
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to prioritise
* Ability to identify and solve problems
* Knowledge of Trust procedures and Policies
