What you will be doing:
Lead and direct all front office staff with guidance by the Front of House manager in theexecution of their duties to maximise the operational efficiency of the area.
Ensure, together with the Front of House manager, that the highest level of service isprovided to all guests and clients of the hotel by front office staff to maximise guestsatisfaction.
Effectively monitor and review all departmental standards as well as policies andprocedures of the hotel.
Driving enrolment for Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program
Motivate the team to maximise revenue through proactive upsells and room reservations
Ensure that an effective structure of communication within the department is establishedand maintained at all times to ensure that all staff members are fully aware of relevantinformation that pertains to their role as well as all promotions within the hotel and thecompany worldwide.
Be fully conversant with all legislation in respect of hotel sales, practical employment law,payment of services, registration of guests, security procedures and data protection andensure they are complied with at all times.
Ensure that all control procedures pertaining to the processing of revenue are adhered to atall times including an accurate log of checks. Any discrepancies are reported in the correctmanner.
Be aware of the importance of cost control in order to respect the departmental budget andmake sure that VIP and welcome gifts as well as stationary are not wasted.
Work closely with the FOM, Reservations Manager and DOS in order to maximise roomyield and profitability and to meet the budget/forecast
What we are looking for

Experience of managing a front office team, ideally in a similar sized minimum 4-star branded hotel
