About the role
As a Barrell Park Operator within our dedicated team at Cambus, you'll play a pivotal role in the whisky supply process and will oversee and control the safe movement of spirit within an established set of process procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Transporting empty casks to the Filling store, Cooperage, and Barrel-park using telehandlers.
* Owning the process of loading/unloading safely and efficiently.
* Successfully and safely building cask stows (pyramids) while adapting to last-minute changes.
* Attending daily meetings and sharing feedback on issues or any performance improvements.
* Applying all safety, environmental, and HMRC standards and procedures.
The role holder is required to manually handle the casks, and training will be provided to any successful applicants.
Health and safety compliance is key, and you'll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other key performance indicators and targets including production quality and HMRC compliance.
Shift Pattern:
The Operator role will cover a rotating 3-shift pattern consisting of:
1. Early shift: Monday - Thursday (6am - 1:45pm), Friday (6am - 12:30pm)
2. Backshift: Monday - Thursday (1:45pm - 10pm), Friday (12:30pm - 6:30pm)
3. Nightshift: Sunday - Friday (10pm - 6am)
What you'll bring:
Due to the nature of the role, it would be advantageous if you had a forklift and/or telehandler licence; however, this is not essential.
We're looking for someone who can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems. You should have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show excellent communication skills.
Working with us:
Our purpose is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere. Creating an inclusive culture, where everyone feels valued and that they can belong, is a crucial part of this.
We embrace diversity in the broadest possible sense. This means that you'll be welcomed and celebrated for who you are just by being you. You'll be part of and help build and champion an inclusive culture that celebrates people of different gender, ethnicity, ability, age, sexual orientation, social class, educational backgrounds, experiences, mindsets, and more.
Feel inspired? Then this may be the opportunity for you!
If you require a reasonable adjustment, please ensure that you capture this information when you submit your application.
