Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavior Mentor who has undergone Team Teach or similar behaviour training to work in SEMH schools in Huddersfield. The Team Teach training is important for the role as you are working with children who often display challenging behaviour, are identified with Social, emotional and mental health and/or Autism and the ability to de-escalate this is vital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with students displaying challenging behaviors, providing one-on-one support and guidance.
- Utilise your Team Teach training to safely and effectively manage difficult situations and prevent escalation.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop behavior management strategies and plans.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and progress.
- Foster positive relationships with students and provide them with the necessary tools to improve behavior and emotional regulation.
- Contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Qualifications:
- Team Teach certification or similar behaviour training is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- DBS on the update service essential or willingness to obtain a DBS.
- School and UK education based experience are essential to the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
