We're eager to bring on a talented and enthusiastic Design and Technology teacher to join our Lancaster team. You'll have the chance to engage KS3 and KS4 students, nurturing their creativity and helping them develop essential skills. This role offers a competitive daily rate of £155 to £230, depending on your experience, qualifications, and teaching approach.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging, hands-on lessons that inspire students to explore design, engineering, and practical technology. You'll guide students through a range of projects, helping them understand the design process from concept to creation.

Responsibilities:
6. Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
7. Strong knowledge of the curriculum
8. Punctual and reliable
9. Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
10. Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
11. Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
12. Set homework and mark promptly
13. Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
14. Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
15. Respond to questioning
Preferred skills:
16. Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
17. Strong classroom management
18. Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
19. Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
20. Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience
Personal attributes:
21. You will have a genuine passion for teaching
22. Experience up to key stage 3/4
23. QTS/PGCE equivalent
24. Be flexible and committed
