Are you a hands-on engineer with a passion for injection moulding? This could be the perfect role for you. I am working with a company looking to take on a Process Engineer to support and develop the engineering function for their busy manufacturing sites. This business has gone from strength to strength, having a strong order book and has reinforced their success with a recently opened new premises. This role will see you leading process improvement initiatives and developing SOPs.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and optimise injection moulding processes to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and enhance product quality.
* Conduct trial runs and process evaluations to ensure optimum process parameters are set for production.
* Monitor production runs to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for adjustments to moulding processes.
* Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for injection moulding processes.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the injection moulding process and implement lean manufacturing principles.
* Lead or participate in root-cause analysis activities to investigate process deviations or failures.
* Work with R&D or design teams to implement design for manufacturability (DFM) improvements.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Injection Moulding experience.
* Engineering qualifications.
* Experience of process improvements.
* Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
