Over the last 5 years the business has expanded to complete a number of projects across the UK and Northern Ireland. The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in electrical engineering or electro-mechanical or mechanical engineering with consulting and commercial experience within the buildings sector. The prospective candidate may have experience from the following: VT/lift engineering, SEFM, FM, Buildings design, Building maintenance, Electrical engineering & control systems, Maintenance experience. We also welcome those who have experience from the armed forces such as: naval submarines, aero engines and systems, buildings FM or looking for a change of career to develop their skills in electrical engineering and digital technology or mechanical engineering with an interest in vertical transportation. Position Summary. The position will involve working on projects for a range of clients across many sectors. The works are designed to meet the varied needs of our clients, including condition surveys of existing lifts, escalators, cradles, maintenance, monitoring, traffic analysis, design and specification of new lift escalator installations, modernizing existing lift and escalator installations, energy use modelling, LOLER reports It is essential that prospective candidates have consultancy experience and a thorough understanding of electromechanical systems, electric controls engineering. Central to the role is the ability to communicate; ideas, solutions in a wide variety of situation in a clear, concise way with excellent report writing skills. Client care and management is essential and the role will involve working with a small team of projects, both in the office and client premises or construction site. The role is nominally 40 hours per week (9.00am to 5 .30am) Monday to Friday although candidates will be required to adopt a flexible approach as travel is required. Qualifications & Skills B.Eng. Degree or BTEC in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical engineering. Essential Skills: Solid electromechanical engineering experience and qualifications. At least 6 to 10 years site/field experience in electro-mechanical systems, electric controls. engineering, hydraulics, pneumatics, and maintenance. Site and commercial experience with a background in buildings/construction/ or electrcial engineeing applications. Consultancy experience. Must have: Excellent report writing skills and written spoken English and proficient in numerical analysis such as design packages and spreadsheet modelling. The ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and the ability to maintaining good relationships. Presentable, comfortable and confident with interacting at all levels of business /management strata. The ability to work independently and use initiative and within a team environment. The ability to understand and assimilate regulations, standards, and codes of practice. Must be highly organized, punctual, efficient at time management, and IT literate. Candidates must be willing to: Work on site, in lift shafts and plant rooms, and able to work at height. Gain new skills and knowledge quickly, Adopt a flexible approach in terms of training and adding client value. Desirable experience. Knowledge of commercial contracts. Member of an engineering institution. Understanding health and safety principles. Have a UK clean driving licence.
