Purpose of the Role
As a key member of the area sales team, you will proactively contribute to the budgeted volume, revenue, market share, and business profit targets. The key requirements of the role include:
* Managing and developing new and existing customers in targeted areas.
* Providing a link and support to the internal/external sales functions, the wider commercial team, and the customer services centre.
* Contributing and achieving in our business goal to grow sales, improve quality, reduce complaints, and become our customer’s supplier of choice.
Key Accountability
* Work with your territory sales managers to maximise sales opportunities through volume, revenue, and product mix.
* Be responsible for proactively generating new business in your area through prospecting; making use of reports on closed, lapsed, and new accounts, as well as using tools such as Barbour ABI and LinkedIn to identify appropriate call lists.
* Manage area accounts using appropriate sales tools, ensuring that all customer interactions are recorded via Arvensis and/or CRM.
* Ensure end-to-end account management, including managing queries & complaints for relevant accounts.
* Follow up, in a timely manner, all quotes added to the system ensuring a record of jobs won and lost is kept.
* Alongside TSM, Bid Team, and any other relevant departments, complete administration for any local Government bids or major contracts.
* Work with the cash sales team to ensure that all opportunities are qualified and priced appropriately.
* Be responsible for reports such as GZ and ancillary pricing.
* Support your TSM/AGM on work for special projects as required.
* Attend and contribute to area team meetings as required.
Education/Qualification
* Good level of education (GCSE’s/A level/Diploma).
* Working understanding of standard software packages.
