Central is currently recruiting for a Project Worker, to work in the Westminster area. This supported accommodation provides support to vulnerable adults with a range of mental health support needs. The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday – Sunday on a rota basis, covering mid (10AM – 4:30PM) and long (8AM – 8:30PM) shifts. Temporary cover is required for approximately 2-3 months. The pay rate for this role is £14.49 per hour, with £ 1.75 holiday pay, totalling £16.24 per hour. In this position, you will be required to: Hold a caseload of 2-3 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed support and safety plans. Support residents with daily living tasks including cleaning, cooking, shopping, and managing finances. Encourage and assist residents in accessing educational, employment, leisure, and social activities, fostering personal development. Ensure residents are abiding by the terms of their housing license and maintaining a safe living environment Build trust and rapport with residents, particularly those who may be resistant or hesitant, using a person-centred approach to engage them in the planning process. Work closely with other professionals, incorporating their input into safety and support plans to provide a holistic approach to resident care. Collaborate with professionals like social workers, healthcare workers, and mental health specialists to ensure comprehensive care Act as an advocate for residents, ensuring their needs are communicated and respected Educate and guide residents in understanding and following relevant policies and procedures to promote a safe and effective living environment Please note: this role involves lone working To apply for this role, you must have; Experience of working with vulnerable adults including mental health in a supported housing environment A strong understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches The ability to quickly build trust and rapport with residents who may be ambivalent or resistant Experience of in managing a caseload or key clients, conducting assessments, and analysing data to identify resident needs The ability to create collaborative support plans, build rapport, and foster collaboration with residents Strong communication and coordination skills to work with professionals from various disciplines Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols Proficient in maintaining accurate records and preparing reports while adhering to confidentiality protocols Understanding and adherence to relevant policies and procedures in supported accommodation services Flexibility, resilience, and readiness to adapt to a dynamic environment Candidates must confirm their interest as soon as possible, with interviews scheduled shortly after and the appointed candidate expected to start as soon as possible.
