Equifind are excited to have teamed up with an exciting brokerage firm in London, who need a project accountant to join the firm for some ad hoc work.
We're looking for a project accountant, who ideally has a background in the brokerage space or from a fast-paced financial services background. This is a very hands-on role to help the finance team.
You must have strong working knowledge of SAGE 200 as you will be the lead in revamping the reporting for the future.
Key duties and responsibilities for this project accountant position include:
* Contribute to various projects, such as automation and improvement of current processes and reports on SAGE 200.
* Manage project accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Prepare and review project financial statements and variance analysis.
* Lead the migration of financial data ensuring accuracy and completeness and work closely with the finance team to ensure all numbers migrated are accurate and reconciled.
* Collaborate with the wider business to get an understanding of what key information they require to support decision-making processes.
* Conduct a financial audit to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Experience & Qualifications
* Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
* A financial services background, ideally brokerage.
* Experience of Sage 200 is ESSENTIAL.
* Strong excel systems experience.
* Be a self-starter and deliver reports in a timely and accurate manner.
* Be a team player.

You will work closely with the CFO and the finance team, with the project being the primary focus, but you might get involved with supporting month end if needed.
The business operates a four-day working week in the office to foster a highly collaborative and exciting culture. Fridays are WFH.
Daily Rate
This project accountant opportunity in London will pay a daily rate of £400-£500 per day, depending on your experience and industry background, as well as offering a competitive bonus.
To start straightaway, as we will be running interviews next week, so ideally you will be immediately available or one week notice maximum.
