Key Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Semi-Senior, your role will include but not be limited to:
* Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in line with accounting standards.
* Producing management accounts and providing insightful analysis for clients.
* Preparing VAT returns and ensuring timely submission.
* Assisting with bookkeeping duties and resolving client queries.
* Supporting the preparation of tax computations and returns.
* Liaising directly with clients to gather information and provide updates on their accounts.
* Working closely with senior team members to support the smooth delivery of client services.
* Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and add value to their businesses.
Requirements
About You:
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality service to clients. You should possess:
* Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in an accountancy practice, working on a range of accounts preparation and bookkeeping tasks.
* Qualifications: Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent or qualified by experience.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
* Problem-Solving: The ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and address client needs efficiently.
