As a result of structured expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for someone to work in the Supply Chain/Buyer department.
Summary:
As Supply Chain Manager, you will schedule all inbound/outbound shipments, provide leadership to the warehouse team in both goods inwards and shipping, and strive to keep costs down from transport companies. You will be responsible for prioritizing tasks to meet expected shipping dates and maintaining accurate inventory.
Duties:
1. Organize distribution, receiving, and raw materials operations to provide required service levels and maximum productivity for all activities.
2. Oversee Procurement and all aspects connected to the supply chain and warehousing storage layouts to ensure maximum space utilization.
3. Address any local storage needs, including material handling equipment requirements and care, working closely with the maintenance manager.
4. Ensure transaction integrity in the system for both finished goods and raw materials, along with the necessary shipping system requirements.
1. Collaborate with accounting to remedy any identified issues.
2. Maintain an excellent working knowledge and critical thinking of all system applications for enhancement and troubleshooting.
5. Negotiate, monitor, and manage all carrier contracts and agreements on an annual basis, tying in all affiliated companies where appropriate, both domestically and internationally.
6. Manage all material flow of finished products and raw materials to and from the warehouse and manufacturing, servicing all manufacturing on a 24/7 basis.
7. Direct all cycle count activity, record results, and work with group auditing firms on periodic test counts and year-end close activities relative to inventory accuracy.
8. Manage and maintain all Logistics-related ISO procedures and training records.
9. Manage performance and monthly metric reporting for Torbay linked to Procurement and Shipping.
10. Oversee RGA, Quarantine, and expiration date control and monitoring on a monthly basis, working closely with accounting and QA groups to ensure timely disposition of all impacted items.
11. Monitor all freight billing activities performed internally and by our traffic service.
12. Recommend budgets, evaluate capabilities and opportunities, and plan and schedule programs and projects with cost controls.
13. Monitor and perform training of personnel in all processes and procedures throughout the Logistics area, ensuring all training is documented per ISO protocol.
14. Establish and manage performance measurements for all warehouse personnel, where appropriate, to meet productivity needs and aid in the effectiveness of the annual performance appraisal.
15. Delegate and clarify responsibilities; formulate objectives; maintain morale; select replacements.
Requirements:
* Four-year college degree in Business, Management, or Distribution/Logistics.
* Three years at department management level; 3-5 years prior supervisory/management experience.
* Minimum of 3 years experience in Procurement or Buying activities.
* International shipping and customs compliance experience with understanding of New Brexit requirements.
* Experience using database management systems, Oracle preferred and highly desirable.
