This Strategic role in a multi-disciplined Faculty will be part of the College’s Senior Management team. The Faculty of (HCCE) Health, Childcare & Commercial Enterprise includes the subject sector curriculum areas of Access to HE, Health & Social Care, Childcare, Travel & Tourism, Retail & Commercial Enterprises (Hair & Beauty and Hospitality & Catering) and Work-Based Learning Provision.

Salary Details: Scale: MS10-15 (currently £65,123 - £73,346 per annum)
Hours of Work: Full-time - equating to 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Salaried - Permanent (Management)
Holiday Entitlement: 37 days plus statutory bank holidays & College efficiency closures (per annum)
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
You will hold a Level 5 qualification in a relevant field and ideally a Level 5 professional management qualification.
If not held, you will complete the required qualifications within an agreed timescale as identified by the Assistant Principal.
You will hold a recognised teaching qualification.
Significant management experience and knowledge of education, preferably Further Education.
You will lead a team of managers and support staff together with teaching and delivery staff across the Faculty. Whilst subject knowledge within these curriculum areas is advantageous, there are three Curriculum Area Managers in post to cover Subject Sector Areas (SSAs), therefore it is not essential to be a subject specialist.
Significant senior management and peer support will be provided however, you must have extensive experience of staff management and be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and attributes with a confident management style. The Faculty will require someone with significant knowledge of education and preferably Further Education to ensure that excellent teaching and learning is at the heart of the Faculty. You must therefore have the desire to drive high quality outcomes and to promote a culture of wellbeing for learners and staff. This role will be undertaken on the College premises in Haverfordwest. The College has a flexible working policy but due to the nature of the role, home or remote working cannot be agreed on a regular or permanent basis.
The selection process which will include skills tests, a presentation, carousel interviews with key managers, informal meetings with key Faculty and management staff and a formal panel interview are planned for Monday 31 st March 2025.
