We are seeking a proactive individual to take on the challenging yet rewarding role of Behaviour Mentor. This role involves providing essential support to younger students who may display challenging behaviours or require additional assistance on a daily basis, contributing significantly to their learning journey.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with teachers to ensure effective behaviour management strategies.
- Work one-on-one with identified students, delivering tailored additional support.
- Set and monitor learning targets to enhance behaviour and track progress, particularly for students with Special Educational Needs.
- Motivate and challenge students to boost self-esteem and foster improved behaviour.
- Offer constructive feedback and guidance to students, acting as a positive role model, and maintain regular communication with parents/carers.
Requirements:
- Exceptional communication skills and resilience.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships with students and colleagues alike.
- Resilient, empathetic, and able to maintain positivity in challenging situations.
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor or SEN Teaching Assistant is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications in Education Studies or a related field are desirable.
