A day in the life of…
As the Conference & Banqueting Operations Manager at The View Hotel Eastbourne, you'll play a key role in delivering seamless and memorable events, ensuring exceptional service across all conference and banqueting operations. You’ll support the planning and oversee the execution of a variety of functions, from corporate meetings to private celebrations, working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to manage staffing, service standards, and overall guest satisfaction.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Recruit, train, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding hospitality.
* Oversee seamless event execution, working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
* Maintain high standards of food service, presentation, and guest experience.
* Monitor budgets, inventory, and sales to drive profitability.
* Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
* Stay ahead of trends, guest expectations, and sales opportunities.
You'll always work with Aimbridge’s four pillars of Food & Beverage in mind: People, Product, Guest, and Performance—creating an exceptional experience for every guest, every time.
What do we need from you?
* Previous experience in delivering exceptional service within a conference and banqueting or food and beverage environment.
* A strong understanding of industry standards, best practices, and event execution.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills to inspire and manage a high-performing team.
* A commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences while maintaining brand standards.
