Now, this is where you fit in… Reporting into the Head of Finance & HR Applications, you will be responsible for the HR applications in use throughout BCA & cinch. As a Product Owner you will be involved in every aspect of the product application lifecycle process, from new key features and releases introduced by the software vendors to working with the business to understand any additional requirements that may provide improved customer service and / or better operational processes. Key Responsibilities: Work with HR leaders to help develop business case for additional software development and/or acquisition. Lead the delivery of continuous improvement projects and work closely with the Shared Services Director to agree priorities and delivery timescales Lead the delivery of use cases, design specification and testing scenarios. Working with HR and Technology colleagues, lead the development of product strategies and roadmaps incorporating relevant data, research and market analysis. Understand BCA’s strategic and competitive position and deliver applications and functionality that are aligned with our mission and recognized as best in class in the automotive industry. Provide visibility to business stakeholders of the HR systems roadmap and priorities, and manage their expectations Deliver solutions that contribute to the reduction in complexity & duplication of systems. Determine opportunities to drive innovation into the current HR systems landscape and introduce applications and features that add value to our internal & external customers. Lead key interactions with the business community and users, ensuring we constantly listen to our internal and external customers to provide the maximum value from our HR systems landscape. Adopt an ‘Evergreen’ approach to constantly evolving applications. Understand prioritisation techniques to ensure we are implementing the right thing, at the right time. Monitor and measure the success of the features and product performance. Encourage a Build Measure Learn mind-set, creating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team. Ensure applications and features are delivered to the required quality; minimising any disruption to business activities. Provide line management to member of the HR Applications team. Knowledge and Experience: Required Skills: Hands-on Product Owner/Application Manager, who has been part of a major HR systems implementation Experience with HR & Payroll solutions in a diverse business Well versed in writing user stories and acceptance criteria & Agile or Kanban methodologies. Experience with cloud based enterprise applications. Relationship skills - ability to develop and sustain positive and co-operative working relationships with a broad variety of company and partner personnel. Excellent team player, able to interact cross-functionally at different levels within the organisation. Agile approach and ability to keep up with the pace of change, learn fast and adapt to the new conditions quickly and effectively. Is comfortable operating in an organisation going through transformational change and leading change. Significant relevant experience within a business systems environment. Desirable Skills: Educated to a degree, or similar work experience. Enterprise level application lifecycle management exposure. An understanding of software development processes and cycles. Knowledge and experience of Project Management principles (Agile / Waterfall) Good understanding of operating products in the cloud, and or migrating products to the cloud. Extensive experience working directly with customer and external stakeholders. Significant, demonstrable repeat experience of delivering successful applications. Cultural awareness and emotional intelligence, backed by demonstrable experience working closely with diverse cultures. Ability to perform under pressure and in highly complex environments.
