About the Role
The engineer selected for this role will work with about 21 different Gulfstream aircraft models at any given time. Ideal candidates will have experience in post-production liaison, stress, MRB, or concession stress engineering. Daily activities include liaison duties and stress analysis supporting structural repair, rework, and alteration. Certification activities related to FAA (14CFR) and UKCAA/EASA regulations will be actively utilized.
Preferred Skills:
Experience creating 2D repair drawings, familiarity with fatigue and damage tolerance analysis techniques and software, development and analysis of composite repairs, prior experience with Gulfstream aircraft, FAA DER or ODA unit membership for 14CFR25 aircraft structures, experience with Structural Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. Experience in technical disciplines relevant to the role. The position supports the successful completion of major engineering programs and research supporting Gulfstream products and services.
Job Responsibilities
Principle duties include selecting appropriate methods to resolve complex engineering issues, acting as a recognized authority, resolving issues creatively, developing standards, and working independently with long-range focus. Additional responsibilities involve maintaining current knowledge in the field and performing other duties as assigned.
