About us Avencia consulting is partnered with a leading specialty insurer who are looking to recruit a Distribution Data Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis in their London office. The role To ensure the efficient and effective administration of reporting information of our Brokers and customers. Supporting the Distribution and Marketing team and Underwriters by processing data into various underwriting systems, spreadsheets and databases, and to work with the developers of underwriting systems on behalf of the Distribution and Marketing Team to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of output of such systems. To develop reports and management information with a focus on Broker and customers for the purpose of internal and external reporting. Key accountabilities Client Reporting: Prepare, develop, and maintain client & broker reporting packs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in delivering insights and data-driven analyses. Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis on datasets to extract meaningful insights, trends, and patterns, providing actionable recommendations to brokers, clients and internal stakeholders. Data Management: Manage, maintain and align databases, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and availability for analysis purposes. Visualization: Create visually compelling and easy-to-understand reports and dashboards using tools like MS Dynamics, Power BI, or similar platforms. Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to understand reporting requirements, gather insights, and ensure alignment with client expectations. Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, improve data quality, and enhance analytical methodologies. Process improvement : make suggestions and implement improvements in relation to data alignment across systems. To undertake any other tasks as requested by the Head of Sales Governance, in order that the team achieve its objectives. To leverage advanced technical skills in Excel and Power BI to develop higher quality and more efficient processes and reports Skills & experience Insurance experience. Technical Skills : Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, MS Dynamics, Excel and data visualization tools. Analytical Thinking : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and present findings effectively. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting. Experience: Previous experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related field, preferably in a client-facing role.
