We are looking for Project Support Officers to support the delivery of important and innovative projects that reduce the risk of flooding and enhance the environment.
This is a valued role with a diverse range of work across a wide range of projects, giving you an in-depth understanding of large-scale projects. You will support project teams enabling them to do their jobs more effectively; from assisting Project Managers on project delivery or completing office administrative tasks for the whole team.
You will become involved in a range of activities such as handling and processing data, setting up new project workspaces, organising meetings, and taking minutes, preparing notice of entry letters and newsletters, running reports, and accompanying Project Managers on site visits.
You’ll develop your interpersonal skills and build a network of relationships. You will learn about EA legislation, policy and guidance and play a vital role in enabling the efficient delivery of projects. As you grow in confidence, we’ll support your ambitions too, helping you use the experience as a springboard for your career.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what the EA does. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. Supporting incident response may attract an additional payment as well as facilitating further career development as it gives you the opportunity to see how other parts of the business works. Full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
