What skills and experience we're looking for
We are a welcoming and supportive Academy with a relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child and we place students at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a culture of success and a positive climate for learning.
At Outwood Academy Brumby our vision is always to put students first in order to raise standards and transform lives. To make this happen we innovate constantly, including a curriculum that is designed to enable personalised learning in depth and with breadth. We ensure that additional teaching time and resources are provided to support students to leave with a solid foundation of good and better grades.
The Design & Technology department is situated in 4 purpose rooms including fully equipped workshops for Design & Technology, Food Technology, Art and Textiles. The department encompasses a range of disciplines at KS3. At KS4 we currently run Engineering, Art and Design and Technical Award in Hospitality and Catering. All specialisms will be considered, however teaching experience at DT / Engineering at KS3 and KS4 would be ideal.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to make a significant contribution to the ongoing development of the curriculum and the department. You should possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference and demonstrate passion for your subject and a desire to support our young people to reach their full potential.
