This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional looking to step into the rapidly growing renewable energy sector. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving sales of renewable energy solutions including solar, EV charging, LED lighting, and energy storage. Your ability to communicate the financial and technical benefits of these solutions will be key in helping businesses transition to more sustainable energy practices. While direct experience in the renewable energy sector is beneficial, it is not essential. We are looking for candidates with a strong sales track record, particularly those with experience selling into manufacturing, food production/processing, motor dealerships, or the care home sector. If you have an established network of industry contacts, this will be highly advantageous when prospecting and securing new business. Key Responsibilities New Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the renewable energy sector. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships by understanding client needs and providing tailored energy solutions. Solution Selling: Present and promote renewable energy solutions (solar, EV, LED, energy storage, etc.) through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and virtual presentations. Market Research & Strategy: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities. Sales Cycle Management: Manage the full sales process from lead generation to closing deals, including preparing proposals and negotiating terms. Collaboration: Work closely with project management and engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions. Target Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs. Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns and promotions that attract new clients. CRM Management: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities using CRM software. Requirements Sales Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably within renewable energy, clean tech, or related industries (though not essential). Communication & Negotiation: Strong ability to engage clients, explain technical concepts in simple terms, and close deals effectively. Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, set goals, and drive sales without constant supervision. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the renewable energy sector and the financial/technical benefits of these solutions. Organisation & Time Management: Ability to juggle multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities effectively. Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM systems and MS Office Suite. Target Markets: Experience selling into manufacturing, motor dealerships, food production/processing, or care home sectors would be beneficial. Flexibility to Travel: Willingness to travel to client sites and industry events as required.
