The PWR team at Teaching Personnel are working with an Ofsted-rated Good Academy in Braintree (CM7) to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their supportive and dynamic team. About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students across a range of subjects and age groups, ensuring that they receive the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide targeted support to students, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis, to enhance their learning and development.
2. Assist teachers with lesson preparation and delivery, ensuring that materials are appropriate and accessible for all students.
3. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting confidence and engagement among students.
4. Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and work collaboratively with the SENCo to implement individualized learning plans.
5. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents as required.
6. Supervise students during non-classroom activities such as break times and extracurricular events.
7. Encourage positive behavior and adherence to school policies, helping to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and dedicated to supporting young people in reaching their full potential. The following attributes and qualifications are desirable:
1. A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
2. Previous experience working in an educational setting or with young people.
3. A strong understanding of the needs of students with varying abilities and backgrounds.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
5. A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to working with children.
