Health & Safety Manager Location: Elanco Site, Speke Salary: Up to £47,000 per annum Overview: We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee and enhance health and safety practices at our Elanco site in Speke. This critical role will ensure compliance, promote a safety-first culture, and minimize risk across the site’s operations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that health and safety practices meet both legal requirements and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain robust health and safety policies, procedures, and management systems in alignment with legal and industry standards at the Elanco site. Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and ensure workplace safety compliance. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions. Provide guidance, training, and support to site teams and stakeholders to build a strong safety culture. Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, including COSHH, RIDDOR, and CDM regulations. Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to align safety practices and ensure consistent implementation across the site. Lead health and safety committees and act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies. Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry best practices, advising on necessary adaptations to policies or procedures. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager role, preferably within the facilities management, manufacturing, or related industries. Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry standards. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification (Chartered membership of IOSH is a plus). Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across a large site
