In this role, you will: Foster a respectful culture and ethos within the home. Support young people in their personal growth and development through varied and stimulating daily activities. Manage challenging behaviours effectively and with empathy. Promote education, independence, and daily living skills. Undertake key-worker responsibilities and support individualised care plans. Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with organisational and Ofsted standards. Stay informed about relevant legislation and policies. This role involves shift work, including weekends and sleep-ins. Further details regarding shift patterns will be discussed during the interview. Key Responsibilities: Provide a stable, nurturing environment for children and young people. Promote the health, education, and overall well-being of the young people in your care. Prepare young people for independent living by encouraging daily skills and confidence. Collaborate with a team to deliver high-quality care in line with organisational values. Requirements: Essential: Must be a UK resident or have the right to work in the UK (proof required). GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent). Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience working with children/young people. Computer literate. Commitment to completing a Level 4 Diploma in residential childcare (if not already obtained) within two years of service. Willingness to comply with safer recruitment policies, including pre-employment checks, satisfactory references, and enhanced DBS clearance.
