Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting physical fitness, developing motor skills, and encouraging a healthy lifestyle among students. This role requires an individual who is enthusiastic about sports and physical activities, and who can inspire students to engage in lifelong fitness habits.
Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
2. Assess and evaluate student performance in physical activities, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.
3. Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes physical literacy.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students, regardless of skill level.
5. Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities, competitions, and events to enhance student engagement in physical fitness.
6. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education into the broader school curriculum.
7. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development in physical education.
Experience
1. A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field is essential.
2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification is required.
3. Previous experience teaching physical education at primary or secondary school level is highly desirable.
4. Strong knowledge of various sports, fitness techniques, and health education principles.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
6. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative in lesson planning and delivery.
