The School and Role
Vision for Education are looking to recruit supply SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a flexible basis in a variety of roles; day to day cover, short term placements and long term placements either full time or part time. We work with a variety of SEND schools and provisions across north east areas who support children aged 2-19 years who have a SEND diagnosis which could include Autism, ADHD, moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, PMLD, communication and language difficulties, physical difficulties, visual or hearing impairments, medical and complex needs, SEMH and challenging behaviour. Working in SEND schools, you will be working on a small class sized basis or on a 1-2-1 basis supporting children with their academic, personal, emotional and social development.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will assist the class teacher with supporting teaching and learning, leading small group and 1:1 interventions as well as assisting pupils with their individual needs including personal care. You will be responsible for behaviour management as well as supporting the progress of pupils, liaising with staff and parents and participating in weekly CPD sessions.
