The Role
We are seeking a dedicated assistant practitioner to rehabilitation to join Airdrie Integrated rehabilitation team. The post holder would assist in delivering high quality rehabilitation to adults in the community and off site bed unit. This full time role involves assessing patients and working with them to achieve their outcomes. It also involves implementing therapy programmes under the guidance of occupational and physio therapists, supporting rehabilitation exercises and with moving & positioning. The role will also include the following -
* To work under the supervision of registered therapy staff to assist patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
* Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service.
* Implement, adapt and progress treatment programme within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
* Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centered programme across a variety of clinical settings.
* Discharge or transition care within agreed protocols and defined parameters.
Duties may vary depending on the care group / department or assigned area of work.

What we'll need you to bring
Qualifications and Experience
* HNC in healthcare, education or social cares or SVQ III in healthcare, education or social care or equivalent experience in a health, education or social care environment.
* Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
* Full driving license holder
Knowledge and Skills
* Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
* Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
* Basic assessment skills.
* Ability to apply a range of technical and practical rehabilitation skills.
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Time management, planning and organisational skills.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology.
* Ability to work individually, or as part of a team
* Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.
