ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
AMC Limited are a well-established family-owned mobility company operating throughout the UK extending their global patent to the USA, Australia, mainland Europe and India. We sell an exclusive range of patented Mobility Vehicles constantly enhancing their range of 6 scooter products with future innovative arrivals later in the year. Our head office which is situated close to the M1 between Dunstable and Luton is home to the Finance Department plus several supporting departments.
We seek an applicant who has a recognised qualification or degree in commercial accounts (be it either qualified or part-qualified) to join our finance team at our offices between Luton and Dunstable. Applicants must be detail-oriented and organized as you are responsible for various accounting tasks and financial services. The ideal candidate will be and have experience with accounting software such as Sage, Excel and various bespoke systems.
Duties are as follows:
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable processes, including P&L, invoice processing and payment reconciliation, monthly VAT returns and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare management accounts under the direction of the Group Financial Controller.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned
• Monthly sales listing spreadsheet including cost of sale analysis
• Various monthly nominal ledger journals
• Assist with prepayment and accrual journals
• Debtor analysis reports for head of sales and service departments
• Monthly insurance, warranty and breakdown product invoicing and preparation of the bordereau spreadsheet
• Calculation of weekly commission statements of our team of sales representatives

Annual salary paid monthly in arrears by BACS. Full time working hours of 9am to 5.30pm, 5 days per week. Auto enrol pension scheme after a 3 month probationary period, Free parking, 28 days annual holiday (includes bank holidays).
