The Role

To support their continued growth and ambitious project delivery, our client is looking for a Commissioning Engineer who is eager to tackle challenges in electromechanical automation systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, assembly, testing, and support of advanced automated systems.
This role involves working closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring that all systems meet high standards of safety and functionality. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will also be responsible for traveling to client sites to install robotic systems and provide on-site technical support.
Due to the nature of the projects, applicants must be British citizens and able to obtain security clearance at Developed Vetting (DV) level.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
3. Build, test, and verify the safety and performance of electrical systems.
4. Document processes and communicate effectively with both internal and external teams.
5. Travel to client sites for installation and commissioning of robotic systems.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Qualifications: HNC in an electrical-focused discipline, completion of an electrical apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
2. Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical electrical and mechanical drawings.
3. Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify root causes of electrical faults and resolve them using industry-standard equipment.
4. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, particularly in a technical context.
5. Additional Requirements:
1. Full UK driving licence.
2. Willingness to travel to customer sites.
3. Eligibility to obtain security clearance (DBS checks).
