Scotia Capital Partners is looking for university students (undergraduate) to join us for our Quantity Surveying placement programme in summer 2021. We have a variety of projects all over the UK where you can build on your skills, experiences and bring your learning to life. Our Summer Placement programme is a minimum of 6 - 12 weeks. You don’t need to have any previous experience, we just want you to be enthusiastic, keen to learn and have a passion for real estate development. Description We need under graduates of the highest calibre to become future leaders. In exchange for your hard work and commitment, we will support you with a top quality graduate training programme to ensure you build a real estate development career with strong foundations. The position will be based in our offices in Edinburgh, and on site. The Role Starting in June 2021, you will be recruited as a Quantity Surveying under graduate, and will complete a structured 1 week induction to the business before focussing on your role. During the 6 - 12 weeks programme you will work mainly at our Edinburgh office and on site learning the art and science of quantity surveying, & a broader business (site management, technical, business development and others) to gain an insight into the wider business. We will support your progress towards full RICS membership. Skills & Experience Candidates will be 3rd year under graduated or going into their final year in a construction related degree such as Quantity Surveying. A RICS approved degree course would be an advantage. Successful candidates will have achieved high academic standards as well as being able to demonstrate a passion and commitment for a career in the real estate development sector. We will be looking for evidence of leadership skills, ability to work in a team, and a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will be able to work throughout Scottish region as required.
