Your Role
We have an excellent opportunity available for a Senior Service Manager for Mental Health to join our Leadership Team. As lead officer we will look to you to provide operational oversight of the Mental Health, AHMP and Mental health Support Teams and the delivery of strategic aims in support of the DASS. Working closely with the Head of Service you will ensure the delivery of the Quality Assurance Framework and a positive CQC review outcome.

Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing a large social care Mental health service.
* To ensure the delivery of a high quality social care service to local residents and their carers
* To oversee the operational running of the service
* Support the Team managers and teams within the service and offer regular supervision and My Conversations
* To ensure best value and continuous cost effective service improvement putting people at the heart of what we do
* To work collaboratively will all stakeholders, partners and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for all and chair and attend appropriate board meetings
* To ensure the service advocates positively for people with Mental Health SUs and and all who need it are able to access it in a timely way.
* To work with other senior colleagues across the directorate to ensure an equitable approach of ASC in Stockport
* To work positively and inclusively with colleagues and customers so that the Council provides a workplace to deliver a service that does not discriminate against people on the grounds of their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage, civil partnership, pregnancy, maternity, race, religion, belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
* To fulfil personal requirements, where appropriate, with regards to Council policies and procedures, standards of attendance, health, safety and welfare, customer care, emergency, evacuation, security and promotion of the Council’s priorities.
Candidate requirements:
* Registered Social Worker, Nurse or Occupational Therapist.
* Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation.
* Significant and varied post qualification contemporary experience.
* Demonstrable evidence of both strategic and operational management in an Adult Mental Health Setting.
* An enhanced DBS clearance and access to own transport will be required.
About You
You will have proven quality experience in managing a team in an Adults Social Care Service in a large complex organisation. Successful in providing clear, balanced advice and guidance on adult mental health services including supporting AMHP Social Workers. You will have demonstrable success in developing effective working relationships, partnerships with other agencies, and communicating and influencing others. Resilience and determination coupled with the ability to work under pressure whilst showing commitment to the Councils values and leadership behaviours.
