We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Administrator to join our IT team. As an AWS Cloud Administrator, you will be responsible for the setup, management, and ongoing maintenance of the AWS cloud infrastructure. This role involves overseeing AWS services, troubleshooting cloud-related issues, and ensuring the security, scalability, and performance of cloud environments. You will collaborate with developers, DevOps, and security teams to ensure a smooth and efficient cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and configure AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail) to ensure performance, scalability, and security of the cloud environment.
* Monitor cloud resources using AWS tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config), and automate repetitive tasks with AWS CLI, Bash, Python, or CloudFormation.
* Implement security measures (IAM, VPC, encryption) and ensure compliance, while optimizing AWS costs through tools like Cost Explorer, Budgets, and Trusted Advisor.
* Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide support to development and operations teams, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Design and implement backup, disaster recovery strategies, and ensure OS/software updates are applied to AWS instances.
* Collaborate with DevOps, development, and network teams, maintaining documentation and recommending infrastructure changes based on system performance.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Hands-on experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda) and managing cloud infrastructure.
* Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and secure networking.
* Proficiency in scripting (AWS CLI, Bash, Python, CloudFormation) for task automation and resource management.
* Familiarity with AWS cost management (Cost Explorer, Budgets, Trusted Advisor) and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config).
* Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in AWS networking, backup and disaster recovery, and cross-functional collaboration.
* Experience with version control (Git) and hybrid/multi-cloud environments is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
* AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate or similar certifications.
* Experience with serverless services (AWS Lambda, API Gateway) and container management (ECS/EKS).
* Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and container orchestration technologies.
