Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make a real impact in a dynamic, pan-European organisation?
Sharp Electronics Europe is seeking an HR Business Partner to play a pivotal role in shaping our people strategy at our London headquarters (Uxbridge) and across our European business.
As our HR Business Partner, you’ll be the go-to expert for all HR matters, ensuring our leadership teams are supported with strategic and operational HR guidance. You’ll manage a broad spectrum of HR responsibilities, including employee relations, talent development, compensation & benefits, payroll, pensions, and digital transformation initiatives. You’ll also lead a small team and support M&A and joint venture activities alongside the European HR Director.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Acting as a trusted advisor, providing strategic and operational HR support to directors, managers, and employees at HQ.
2. Leading, coaching, and ensuring the performance of a direct report (HR Manager) and their team.
3. Overseeing HR operations, including payroll, pensions, life assurance, and compensation & benefits.
4. Managing employee relations matters, coaching leaders, and handling employment tribunal cases if necessary.
5. Driving leadership development, coaching managers and directors to enhance their leadership capabilities.
6. Supporting talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
7. Contributing to digital transformation projects, including implementing new HR systems and processes.
8. Collaborating with external partners to attract and retain top talent.
What We’re Looking For:
1. CIPD Level 5/7 qualification with at least three years of experience in a senior HR generalist role (including 1-2 years at a European level).
2. Experience in HR within a technology/distribution environment.
3. Strong expertise in HRIS implementation, compensation & benefits, and performance review systems.
4. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and digital HR tools.
5. Hands-on experience managing payroll, pensions, life assurance, and company benefits (including P11Ds).
6. The credibility and confidence to coach and advise senior managers.
7. Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
