The Role:
Hours Sunday - Thursday 9am-5pm (37.5 hours per week)
You will be required to prepare afternoon teas, sandwiches and light lunches, such as soups etc within a controlled hygienic environment, and play a vital part in the effective operation of the kitchen function. You will also need to control stock, rotate foods, and monitor use by dates, and ensure that the kitchen is kept in a clean and hygienic state at the end of every shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing food in a timely manner
Follow food handling and hygiene procedures, maintain a clean and organised work area.
Keeping all work surfaces clean in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination.
To abide by all health & safety and environmental requirements as per the relevant legislation/regulations.
Be aware of and adhere to COSHH guidelines.
May at times be required to support with serving, clearing and resetting in the Tea Room, and helping the tea room with end of day cleaning.
Reliability is essential as we are a small team.
About You:
You will have previous experience within a fast paced busy kitchen environment, with the ability to prioritise and complete your allocated tasks during your set shift. Previous experience would be an advantage but not essential, as we will provide you with the knowledge and understanding, if you have the people qualities and share our core values.
You will preferably need to hold a driving licence as there is no public transport to Stoneleigh Abbey.
