This is a dynamic role focused on delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) services and ensuring the safety of life safety systems across a range of locations.
You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, nurse call systems, and access control systems, all while adhering to Health and Safety procedures.

Your Responsibilities: Service, maintain, and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1), emergency lighting, nurse call, and access control systems in line with relevant British Standards.
Complete engineer service reports accurately and on time.
Identify and report any deficiencies or deviations in systems.
Maintain emergency lighting systems, fire extinguishers, AOVs, and other associated equipment.
Conduct regular van stock checks, liaising with the Engineering Technical Supervisor and Procurement Department to ensure your vehicle is stocked with the necessary parts.
Prioritize Health and Safety in all tasks and report any potential risks promptly.
Strive to complete first-time fixes, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
What Were Looking For: A flexible, reliable approach to work, with a minimum of 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with the opportunity to earn more through weekend work and participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
A full UK driving license .
Previous experience with fire alarm systems, including analogue addressable and conventional fire alarms.
FIA training (or equivalent) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals .
Strong understanding of BS5839 (particularly Parts 1 and 6).
A solid level of IT literacy .
Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.

- £37,440 per annum (for a 40-hour week), with opportunities to significantly increase earnings through overtime, travel time, and out-of-hours retainer fees (many engineers earn between £45-50k per year).
