Responsibilities as a SEN Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons for students with special educational needs. Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly. Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to create individual education plans (IEPs). Build strong relationships with students, fostering their confidence and self-esteem. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to support student development. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills as an SEN Teacher. Requirements for SEN Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with students with special educational needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A commitment to continuous professional development.
Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one). Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
