Job summary
This will be a 22 month (fixed-term) position. Part-time hours and flexible working will be considered. This post is funded by Macmillan, which will enable you to have additional access to learning courses and grants, clinical updates and networking events.
The postholder will be required to work across multiple sites. Travel time and costs will be taken in to account.

The Living with and Beyond Cancer Team is a multi-disciplinary team that provides multi-modal interventions for patients before, during and after their treatment for cancer. We aim to respond to the changing needs of our patients, outreaching to provide a service across Eastern and Northern services.
The Therapy Cancer Support Worker will be an integral part of this team. They will be responsible for supporting with the coordination of patients therapy and assist in the running of interventions such as exercise groups, nutrition support and weight management groups. Administrative duties will include booking of classes and data collection. The postholder will also provide support to patients who are stratified in to level 1 (universal) prehabilitation. This may include advice about exercise, diet, sleep, fatigue and other health related behaviours such as alcohol and smoking cessation (Principles and guidance for rehabilitation within the management and support of cancer. Depending on the post-holders personal development plan and opportunities within the team, you will be supported to develop your knowledge and skills in rehabilitation.
