About the Department: Our department comprises Design Technology, Hospitality & Catering and Computer Science. The team currently consists of five passionate teachers each with their own areas of expertise and experience. We are also supported by a specialist technology and art technician. We work collaboratively as a team to ensure our students get the best of specialist teaching across the range of subjects whilst also ensuring that all of our teachers have a network of open, supportive and friendly peers to rely on. As a Design and Technology Teacher you will be required to complete the professional duties that are expected of a UK qualified Teacher in accordance with academy policies and procedures and your subject specialism. You should promote the achievement of high standards through effective teaching and learning within your subject area, including the preparation, application and development of lesson resources in alignment with the curriculum, as directed by your department head and senior leaders within the academy. You will be responsible for effective classroom management and the coordinator of class work with any classroom support staff that are present. You must evaluate lessons and incorporate student views and responses to reflect and identify areas of development.
