Join our Marketing team as a Marketing Assistant
The Marketing Assistant is a key role within the marketing department responsible for executing campaigns, managing digital platforms, managing communications, and coordinating various projects. You will play a vital role in ensuring the success of marketing activity, enhancing the company’s online presence and driving engagement.
The role will be instrumental in driving internal and external customer engagement in order to maintain and grow relationships, both within domestic and international markets.
Responsibilities:
Campaign Support
1. Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social, print, and events).
2. Create, proofread, and edit content for marketing materials, including blogs, newsletters, social media posts, and advertisements.
Digital Marketing
1. Assist in creating and managing digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and email marketing tools.
2. Design, execute, and analyse email marketing campaigns using tools like Mailchimp.
3. Manage subscriber lists and ensure compliance with GDPR or other relevant regulations.
Social Media Management:
1. Plan, schedule, post, manage and monitor social media posts across platforms, ensuring alignment with the marketing strategy.
2. Engage with online audiences and followers by responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely manner.
3. Analyse social media metrics to track engagement and identify trends.
4. Provide training, tools and guidelines to help colleagues utilise social media within Halma compliance policies.
Website Management:
1. Update and maintain website content.
2. Ensure website content is accurate, engaging, and optimised for both desktop and mobile users.
3. Collaborate with developers or IT teams to troubleshoot website issues.
4. Optimise website content and landing pages for SEO and user experience.
Content Creation:
1. Collaborate on the creation of engaging digital content and support the development of graphics, videos, and other multimedia content, ensuring compliance with SSG brand guidelines & Halma digital media policies.
2. Assist with the creation of presentations and reports for internal and external use.
3. Assist in designing digital assets using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
4. Advance SEO copywriting, including meta tags and descriptions.
Market Research
1. Conduct research on digital trends, competitors, and customer behaviour.
2. Gather and analyse data into actionable reports to inform marketing strategies.
3. Stay up-to-date with emerging digital marketing tools and strategies.
Data Analysis
1. Track key metrics, such as website traffic, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI.
2. Compile data into actionable reports to guide marketing strategies.
Event Coordination:
1. Help plan and execute marketing events, trade shows, and webinars.
2. Coordinate logistics, prepare materials, and assist with on-site support.
Administrative Support:
1. Provide administrative support to the marketing function as needed, including tasks such as processing purchase orders, managing invoicing, and coordinating hotel and meeting room bookings.
2. Maintain and update the marketing databases, ensuring all records are accurate.
3. Monitor inventory and order promotional materials as needed.
4. Prepare reports and presentations.
5. Work closely with sales and other internal teams to align marketing strategies with company goals.
6. Coordinate with external vendors and partners as required.
Skills:
1. Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Google Analytics, Mailchimp).
2. Proficiency in social platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo).
3. Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms like WordPress.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
6. Proficiency with creative marketing tools (e.g., Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite).
7. Knowledge of SEO, PPC, and digital analytics tools.
8. Analytical mindset with a passion for tracking and optimising campaign performance.
9. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
10. Creative mindset with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Experience: 1-2 years in digital marketing or a marketing related role preferred. Strong familiarity with digital tools and platforms is essential.
