Job Summary: As our Sales Manager, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day management of internal sales operations, allowing the Managing Director to concentrate on larger strategic initiatives. Your role involves nurturing existing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team in capturing the myriad opportunities within our local market.
Key Responsibilities:
3. Meet and exceed sales and revenue targets within designated areas of responsibility.
4. Cultivate and expand existing accounts while actively seeking out new business opportunities through exemplary customer service and effective cross/upselling techniques.
5. Provide expert guidance and advice to customers on signage solutions.
6. Prepare accurate quotations and bids at competitive margins.
7. Respond promptly and professionally to all customer inquiries.
8. Follow up on all quotations within agreed timescales.
9. Improve quotation conversion rates in terms of both volume and revenue.
10. Maintain comprehensive records of all sales activities in the CRM system.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
11. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar sales role or industry.
12. Industry-specific knowledge preferred.
13. Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure.
14. Flexibility to adapt to the demands of the business.
Requirements:
15. Demonstrated track record of effective communication, presentation, and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
16. Thorough understanding of the sales process.
17. Proven experience in cross and upselling.
18. Familiarity with estimating systems like "Clarity" or similar tools to ensure accurate quoting and margin maintenance.
19. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
20. Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
21. Commercially astute with a keen business sense.
