Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for financial accounting, A/P, A/R, fixed assets, management and financial reporting, M/E & Y/E, and B/S reconciliations.
2. Oversight of cashflow forecasting, day to day cash management and banking.
3. Responsible for managing existing bank and government loans, as well as requests for incremental financing and loan requests.
4. Contribute to the delivery of financial results by partnering with business stakeholders across Technical Services, HR, Maintenance, Sanitation, Commercial, Quality, and Supply Chain in order to manage and control Operating expenses and Selling, General & Admin expenses.
5. Lead the month-end close process including providing explanations for month end variances to budget for Operating expenses and Selling, General & Admin expenses.
6. Act as the key point of contact for our auditors to oversee a successful annual financial audit, year-end inventory count, as well as corporate tax returns and filings.
7. Responsible for the development of a strong internal controls and compliance environment including oversight of controls compliance policies and audits.
8. Responsible for the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Latest Estimate (LE) as well as assisting with the creation of the 5-year Strategic Plan.
9. Review vendor and customer contracts to drive and negotiate favorable terms.
10. People management responsibilities for two direct reports (A/P & A/R Administrator + A/P Coordinator).
11. Work on special projects and other duties as required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
2. Professional accounting designation (CPA).
3. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience including responsibility for general accounting, A/P, A/R, fixed asset management.
4. Minimum 2 years of experience as an Accounting Manager.
5. Minimum 2 years of people management experience.
6. Experience in CPG/food industry preferred.
7. Exposure to manufacturing including standard costing/production variance analysis.
8. Excellent Excel and modelling skills, and competent working with large data sets.
9. Strong information technology and systems knowledge (SAP/Batch Master).
10. Accomplished business analytics skills with a demonstrated attention to detail.
11. Strong written and verbal communication skills including articulating complex financial analyses to non-financial colleagues.
12. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision and amid multiple priorities.
13. Builds strong relationships based on trust and credibility with internal stakeholders.
14. Demonstrates business curiosity and initiative to understand and improve business, operations and accounting processes and solve issues on their own.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $110,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
