Financial Support Officer Location: St Helens with travel to Liverpool and Warrington offices Salary: £33,233 Temporary until August 2025 We are recruiting on behalf of one of our Social Housing clients for a Financial Support Officer the North-West. Key Responsibilities Stay up-to-date with welfare benefit entitlements and changes affecting customers. Liaise with HB/DWP services to resolve queries and build strong relationships with DWP Partnership Managers. Proactively challenge DWP claims to safeguard rental income. Signpost customers to internal and external agencies for support and welfare advice to sustain tenancies. Identify and address support needs to help customers sustain their tenancies, including visiting non-engaged tenants. Collaborate with the Income Management Team to address vulnerability issues and ensure adequate support. Contribute to team objectives and attend meetingsPrevious Experience: Proficient in using a wide range of relevant IT applications. Strong experience in income management and debt collection enforcement. Knowledge of legal frameworks related to tenancy arrears recovery. In-depth understanding of welfare reform and welfare benefits. Full, clean driving licence. Flexibility to work hours as required to maximize arrears recovery.
