Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Welding Specialist to join our client's team in Hampshire, working on large-scale industrial projects.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical knowledge and hands-on proficiency in MIG and TIG welding, with experience in heavy equipment or industrial manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabricating and welding stainless steel components, primarily using 304 stainless steel in pipe, tube, and sheet form.
* Proficient in TIG and MIG welding techniques, including manual and semi-automated methods, with back purging where required.
* Forming and welding stainless steel coils and tubes, ensuring correct sequencing for connection to manifolds.
* General fabrication tasks, including rolling and forming cylinder shapes, component assembly, and preparation for welding.
* Working with precision-cut and pre-formed parts for ease of assembly.
* Reading and interpreting assembly instructions and technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and proper material availability.
* Using various electrical and manual tools, cutting, joining, and shaping materials with attention to detail.
* Following safety standards and using protective equipment where necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator, ideally with experience in heavy equipment or industrial manufacturing.
* Strong technical knowledge and hands-on proficiency in MIG and TIG welding, including experience with stainless steel.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.
* Experience using various fabrication and welding equipment and tools.
* High attention to detail and a methodical, problem-solving approach.
* Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work with precision.
* Good level of fitness and resilience to handle physical tasks.
* Understanding of safety standards and willingness to wear protective clothing.
* Experience in tasks such as fitting, setting, installing, cutting, welding, and general fabrication.
What We Offer
A competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 DOE, depending on experience.
Monday - Friday working hours from 07:30 - 15:00.
Holidays: 25 days + Bank holidays.
