Job Description:
Our client is a highly respected global brand in the medical devices industry. Their specialty is leading the field in oncology, inventing machines to both detect and cure cancer.
As Business Agility And Process Lead, you will play a key role in fostering an agile mindset across teams, collaborating closely with the Business Agility team and Principal, Process Excellence to drive impactful change. The role will include the following:
1. Drive transformation initiatives spanning empowered teams & process agility.
2. Drive excellence in the product development (software development and hardware development) process by applying lean and agile principles to promote time to value.
3. Harmonize the SAFe / agile ways of working (eg working product increments, backlogs) with internal design controls and stage gates.
4. Bring process agility, have a lean mindset, lead Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Sessions to study end to end flow of value to identify and minimise waste in the system.
5. Measuring the agile process flow by helping in harmonising tools and processes and help measure transformation success.
To be considered for the role, you will need to have the following skills, experience, and behaviours/attitudes:
1. High standard of interpersonal skills and ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders and bring them along on the change journey – collaboration, influencing, and conflict management.
2. Strong problem-solving skills.
3. Strong ethical standard, values, and good judgment.
4. Value-driven / impact-oriented mindset.
5. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
6. 6+ years of experience in a product/software development environment as part of teams working in an agile manner or in product teams OR 2+ years’ experience in a top-tier consulting firm driving digital/agile transformation and process excellence.
7. At least a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Electronics, IT, or other related disciplines.
8. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel.
9. Certifications in Agile and Lean methodologies preferred.
10. Experience in driving process excellence.
11. Experience in or working for a medical device company or product company preferred.
12. Availability for international travel (~20%).
My client offers an attractive salary (in the range of £65-75k), and an attractive benefits package. All applicants must have current authorisation to work unrestricted in the UK. Unfortunately, my client is not able to sponsor work visas for this position. The role is based in Crawley, West Sussex, daily commutable from South London, Surrey, northern Hampshire, North West Kent, and East Sussex. The position is hybrid, 3 days/week onsite.
