We now seek to appoint key staff for our Sydney Water Western Region Delivery Team. You will work in collaboration with Sydney Water and JV partners of the Western Region Delivery Team.
The Opportunity
The opportunity has arisen for experienced Service Locators and NDD operators to commence employment on this long-term frameworks contract (capital works and maintenance program) in western Sydney.
Based in Prospect, you will have an active role in this 10-year program of works across the western Sydney region working in a specialist team installing water infrastructure.
You will be responsible for:
1. Safe set up of job sites in accordance with worksite supervisors' requirements.
2. Interpreting DBYD plans and locating underground assets before works commence.
3. Completing JSEA / Pre-Start forms.
4. Maintenance of site vehicles and plant to ensure they are kept clean and in safe working order.
5. Reporting day-to-day productivity and issues through to engineers and supervisors.
6. Implementing environmental controls in accordance with site EMPs.
7. Operation of Service locating equipment including GPR, vacuum excavation units, and excavators.
What do we need from you:
1. HR drivers licence at a minimum for NDD operator, Full Car licence for service locator.
2. Experience operating Radio detection service locators and GPR units.
3. Current RIICCM202D Identify, locate and protect underground services would be desirable.
4. Experience in using NDD Vacuum excavation units.
5. A good understanding of service plans (DBYD).
6. Experience in Mud Maps both reading and writing of Mud Maps.
7. Excavator, Dogman / Rigger, Install Trench Support, Confined Spaces, First Aid / CPR and VOC tickets (All desirable).
