Private Wealth Solicitor | Senior Associate
BCL Legal are working with a highly regarded and well-established Legal 500 law firm who has an international presence. This award-winning firm, recognised for its excellent work culture and longstanding success, is seeking to recruit an experienced Solicitor to join its expanding Private Client team in Hertfordshire.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload, including Trust and Estate administration, Tax Planning and Wills. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years PQE and a strong background in these areas. Membership of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Association of Lifetime Lawyers is highly desirable but not essential.
This role offers the opportunity to work with long-standing client relationships and provides the platform to further develop within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse and complex caseload, including Trusts and Estates, Tax Planning and Wills.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing high-quality legal advice and support.
- Work closely with colleagues on contentious trust and estate matters, delivering expert legal guidance to clients.
- Contribute to business development activities, including delivering seminars, writing articles, and supporting the firm's marketing initiatives.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and professionalism when working with clients, particularly in bereavement and elderly client matters.
Skills & Experience:
- At least 4 years PQE in Wills and Probate, with experience in Trust and Estate administration and Tax Planning work.
- Membership of STEP or the Association of Lifetime Lawyers is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency in IT, with the adaptability to utilise new technology.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to contribute to business growth.
- A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with sensitive client matters.
