Job summary Winterton Medical Practice is a forward thinking, dispensing Practice based in a small town in Winterton, North Lincolnshire with a branch surgery in Burton Upon Stather with easy access to the motorway network. The Nursing Associate is a relatively new role within the nursing team. Nursing associates work with healthcare support workers & registered nurses to deliver care to our patients. The nursing associate supports the practice nurse role by undertaking tasks that are historically done by the nursing team, thus freeing up nurse time to deal with more complex cases. Main duties of the job The Nursing Associate will work at Winterton Medical Practice and our branch site at Burton Upon Stather. The Nursing Associate will be equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a Nursing Associate and will work to a nationally recognised code of conduct. The Nursing Associate will be a registered practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is essential involving recent phlebotomy experience. Applicants must hold a nursing association foundation degree qualification at academic level 5. Intermediate IT skills are also required.
